Clay County is continuing their comprehensive planning process and is seeking additional participation in the county’s virtual open house and annual survey. According to a recent press release, the goal of the planning process is to provide county residents and the community with a future vision and plan that will be used as a guideline for the decision-making and development process. “Planning will provide an inclusive framework for the orderly and consistent planning for future growth of the unincorporated portion of the County with collaboration from the municipalities and jurisdictions within the area,” stated the release. “The plan will focus on land use, transportation, parks and trails, development patterns, housing types, infrastructure and economic development.” Clay County is seeking public involvement in the comprehensive planning process.
