Community Excellence awards show the passion The Town and Country Leader’s readers have for the businesses in our community. There was a record number of voters in The Leader’s 2022 Community Excellence contest this year, at almost 2000. The top businesses in each category were recognized by their customers and the community. A sense of proudness comes about, not only for the winners but for each business nominated, said Sharon Donat, general manager of The Leader. “This is especially true after having obstacles to overcome post pandemic while continuing to serve our community,” she said. The excitement couldn’t be contained when seeing the list of new businesses being nominated, she said. “New businesses are the heart and soul of our community,” Donat said. “They are the key to making our area not only grow, but thrive.
