Five vie for two open seats
Candidates for the Excelsior Springs City Council have shared their view on hot topics in the race for the two open seats.
The five candidates — Malachi Luevano, Gary Renne, Kristi Shewell, Reggie St. John and Jim Rice — will appear on the ballot in the April 4 election.
The candidates recently answered The Excelsior Springs Standard’s questions about issues and philosophies affecting the City of Excelsior Springs.
Luevano did not respond to the questionnaire. Shewell is traveling and was unable to respond.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Excelsior Springs Standard asked each candidate to list their age, address, marital status, number of children, highest grade completed, employer and relevant political experience.
