Excelsior Springs recently traveled back to the Jazz Age of the 1920s. Gatsby Days — a downtown celebration sharing culture, history, art and poetry — offered opportunities for the whole family to be involved in the art and history of the downtown historic region of Excelsior Springs. Vintage cars lined the parking loop in front of the Hall of Waters to showcase riding in style from the early 1900s through 1938. Other activities included art demonstrations at Bohemian Sage Gallery, while Casa Di Vite showcased middle and high school aspiring artists. Across town, Pairings by Van Till showcased adult art and poetry. The Hall of Waters conducted tours, as did the Excelsior Springs Museum. With John (back, from left) and Henry, along with Heather (front, from left) and Darren Jennings tour the streets in their Mercedes Benz.
