Noah Marker represents Tiger pride

Noah Marker, once a young student in Excelsior Springs, grew to be a driven, well-rounded young man, achieving greatness and showing everyone what it means to have tiger pride. The son of Christy and Marty Marker, Noah passed away unexpectedly on July 17 at the age of 23, but his memory will remain within the community. His life was no different than anyone else’s; only he was born with Escobar Syndrome – a condition causing joint stiffness and muscle weakness throughout the body. Even though he dealt with physical restrictions, Noah’s cognition functioned normally and he partook in several sports and organizations in Excelsior Springs. Christy said the best part about his life was watching him grow and succeed despite his physical limitations. “He inspired us daily,” she said. “He was just a normal child in a wheelchair.” She said Noah connected with his able-bodied peers, as well as those with special needs, always keeping himself and his family busy going to sports outings…
