The Tigers are sending off one of their top varsity baseball players to continue his career in college. Lucas Dillman, who graduated this spring from Excelsior Springs, has signed to play baseball at Crowder College, a Neosho-based junior college that competes in the National Junior College Athletic Association South Central District. Dillman joins a program that finished 2023 50-13 and fell in the district semifinals to eventual district champion Seminole (Okla.) State College. “I am looking forward to being a part of a different atmosphere with guys where baseball is a complete focus,” he said. Dillman joins the Roughriders after being a threetime Class 4 all-state pick as a utility player at Excelsior Springs. The left-hander played multiple positions for the Tigers, including pitcher, first baseman and outfielder. He ended his high school career with 193 total bases, 125 hits, 102 runs scored, 90 RBIs, 34 stolen bases and five home runs. “My greatest experience in high school…
