KC man facing felony charges after pursuit

A Kansas City man recently pled not guilty to two felony charges at Clay County Courthouse. Alan R. Davis, 20, is facing two felony charges of first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, as well as other charges, including resisting arrest, detention or stop by fleeing, creating a substantial risk of serious injury or death to any person. Davis appeared before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge David P. Chamberlain for an arraignment hearing with his public defender, Kevin D. Garrison. On Jan. 17 an Excelsior Springs Police Department (ESPD) officer was patrolling the area near Concourse and Kansas City avenues when he observed two people in a red Mitsubishi Lancer commit multiple traffic violations, according to reports.
