The vibrant and welcoming community of Excelsior Springs now has the chance to experience a beautiful piece of art that celebrates diversity in all its forms. The Parade of Hearts, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering community unity, has unveiled a stunning heart-shaped artwork by a local artist in a prominent downtown location.
FOR 23 YEARS, Excelsior Springs High School has been blessed with math teacher Jonah Albertson, who puts students first and works hard to ensure they all understand the material. For over two decades, Excelsior Springs High School (ESHS) has been fortunate to have an outstanding math teacher who is not only dedicated to his students but also deeply committed to the community. Excelsior Springs native Jonah Albertson has been imparting his knowledge and passion for math to the students of ESHS for the past 23 years.

Ray County courts overruled Sheriff Scott Childers’ motion to dismiss the State Attorney General’s quo warranto, a challenge to a person’s right to hold a public office. Childers’ three-day trial will begin at 9 a.m.

ES baseballers eye win No. 10

Excelsior Springs varsity baseball coach Aaron Holst and his Tigers are hoping to breathe easier this week.

The Tigers had nine wins entering the week, which began Monday with a 12-5 road loss to Kearney and continued Wednesday with a 3-0 home loss to Winnetonka. Weather permitting, they have three more opportunities to secure win No. 10 – Friday at Raytown, and a triangular Saturday in Sedalia with Camdenton and Smith-Cotton.
